On the morning of April 9, 1975 our Father kissed us good bye, promised me a ride the next time he went out, and left for the airstrip. He never returned. You see he promised me the ride because I was suppose to go with him that morning he was flying a group to a meeting and at the last minute they had an addition the their group and there was no room for me any longer. I was really upset that he wasn’t going to take me, I was use to going everywhere with Dad. I was upset for a minute until I realized that I was going to get a trip just the two of us. This was the third miracle in my life, the first was the day that Mom and Dad took me home from the hospital and the second the day they took me to the Temple to be sealed to them and a member of this most complex and WONDERFUL family. That was the last time that we were with Dad, the plane crashed and all of our lives changed forever. It was a really hard time for ours and the other families along with loosing our loved ones it took them 2 ½ months to find the wreck site, only then did the closure have a chance to start, and many years latter (for some) for the healing to begin. My sisters have a hard time because they can’t remember; I have a hard time because I do.

Thank you for sharing this. I am sure your dad is so proud of the person you are now.
I remember that your mom really loved him. I was too young to know your dad personally, but I have always heard about the amazing man he is and the love that others have for him.
I am sure your dad is proud of you. You are as amazing as he dreamed of.
