My True Love

My Love Chad.. We are about to have our 9th Anniversary, it has a been a full 9 years with lots of ups and downs. We have been going through one of our downs lately. Normally I would not talk about those times, but I do want to share just a small amount of the past few months.
Chad has been out of work since the middle of January, it has been a very trying time for us. I thank the Lord for all the blessings that have been granted to us and the tender mercies that have been bestowed upon us.
Chad also just spent a week in the hospital. He had been swelling up and extended, beyond you can believe. Only the few of us that saw him during this time can even have a hint/idea of what he was going through. He was swollen hard as a rock, you couldn't even make an indent when you pressed on him anywhere. He then was in immense pain on top of it. We started to loose the swelling on Lasics, but then again began to re-swell. So we took him to the emergency room and they admitted him for a week. They ran every test that they could think of to try and find out what the problem was. 23lbs of lost fluid in 24 hours (at the tail end of his swelling), six days of oxygen, narcotics every 2 hours for 7 days, and of course no rest for either of us. All to no avail, a full week and no answers.
We just saw his Internist on Monday the 5th (a week after the hospital visit) and he said that one of the medications that he has been on, can cause swelling. He thinks that it has be building up for some time, and when his body couldn't take it anymore it started to shut down. At least we think that we have an answer and a repair. More than what we have had for over a month of searching for answers and him being in so much pain and discomfort.
We feel blessed that it wasn't worse and that he is finally felling better. He is on the way to mending. A side note...he is also actively searching for work and has several very positive opportunities that he is in line for. We are looking forward to life getting back on track and being able to move forward at this time with our lives. There are many things still needing fixing and saving (literally), but we are working furiously to do so.
